Wow, it’s been a whole week since I made the big leap from Blogger to WordPress! I wouldn’t say it feels completely natural just yet, but I’m definitely getting the hang of it slowly but surely! I still find myself scratching my head over a few things, but those are mostly related to blog design. Fortunately, I can usually sort them out quickly, and if not, there’s good support.
I’ve been feeling a bit stretched trying to keep up with two blogs! I’m really doing it to give everyone a chance to join me over here. It’s puzzling to me why some folks seem hesitant, and I think it mostly comes down to a little fear of change. We all get comfortable with our routines, right? When we know exactly where to click and what the page looks like, it feels like a second home! Even small changes can be a bit daunting, especially for long-time readers who might not be super tech-savvy. I’m hoping it is not about me or my writing; it’s more about the transition from “I go to Blogger to read Debby” to “I click over to WordPress to read Debby.” Sometimes, it just takes a bit longer for people to get used to that shift.
I know that the readers who really want to keep following me on this new blog will stick around, and I’m so grateful for that! I truly believe that those who enjoy my stories and heart will naturally find their way here. Meanwhile, I’m working hard to connect with everyone by posting in both places for now, but this can’t go on forever. It takes quite a bit of effort!
Having a blog is such a fantastic way for me to express my creativity! In my everyday life, I tend to be on the quieter side and more of a listener than a talker. That’s why writing is perfect for me!
When I’m with my friends and family, they might tell you that I can actually be quite chatty! It’s all about the comfort level, I guess. But honestly, I just don’t have that natural gift of gab that so many people have. My husband definitely takes the lead in our family when it comes to talking!

I’m absolutely thrilled with these new roses! I have a feeling the Blush is going to be the star of the bunch. It already has a bunch of tiny buds coming in, while the two pink ones are still just taking their time. And that little mini rose? It’s always such a delight! It’s been around for a couple of decades and never disappoints. You really do get great value with roses! The Blush starts off yellow and then turns a lovely blush color. It’s so pretty!
Yesterday, we had a four-hour safety meeting at the clinic with everybody. We covered a lot of important topics during our compliance training, like active shooter situations, bomb threats, and violence prevention. It was helpful to get familiar with everything around the clinic, like the eye wash station, utility boxes, and the silent alarm.
I’m excited about my first day on Tuesday, June 9! I’m not sure what they want me to do, but I’m open to anything. I have some ideas about what I’d like to do, but really, I just can’t wait to get started!

Before I wrap things up, I want to share a little something from the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center in Lassen National Park’s live webcam. We had a chilly front come through yesterday, and it actually snowed on Mt. Shasta! Right now, as I’m typing, I can see some snowflakes falling. It won’t stick around for long. Hot weather is headed our way next week. Thankfully, it’s not too cold here, just a pleasant 70° and a bit cloudy. I really like it!
Thank you for being here! Your presence truly means a lot!

I always love hearing from you because your comments make this blog feel like home.
